Since Broadcom's acquisition of VMware, there has been one change after another. Many companies are not particularly happy about this. Smaller IT environments and service providers with lean structures are coming under increasing pressure. The new requirements make the economic operation of classic VMware infrastructures unattractive for many SMEs in Switzerland.

Starting April 10, 2025, Broadcom will require a minimum license of 72 CPU cores per customer for VMware vSphere Foundation. In addition, a penalty fee of 20% will be charged if the subscription is not renewed on time.
