Our infrastructure isn’t off the shelf – it was designed with heart.
Netstream has operated its own data center in Dübendorf since 2011. Today it covers 500 m² of usable space and is used exclusively for our own services. Alongside classic infrastructure, we rely extensively on hyperconverged systems that scale flexibly and remain highly available.

Stable, low-latency processing of TV and raw signals
The receiving facility, built with multiple redundancy, processes TV and radio signals from all over the world directly at Netstream. Whether SAT, IP or DVB-T, we convert raw signals precisely and reliably into high-quality streams tailored to your requirements. Because we own the infrastructure, we keep full control over quality, latency and availability, with no dependence on third-party providers.

Frequently asked questions
Where are Netstream’s data centers located?
Two of our own data centers are located at our company-owned site in Dübendorf. In addition, there are partner sites in Glattbrugg, Zurich, Basel, Wil and Locarno.
What happens during a power outage?
The UPS takes over without interruption. After around 20 seconds, the backup generator is running and, with a full tank, supplies the data center for at least two days. Refuelling is possible during operation.
How sustainable are the data centers?
Since 2018, the data center and offices have been running on 100% solar power. Cooling uses ambient air instead of chillers. Each year, this saves as much electricity as around 200 Swiss households consume.
How are the data centers secured?
Only authorised Netstream staff have access to our own data centers in Dübendorf, via biometric access controls. There is no third-party colocation there. In addition to round-the-clock monitoring, security staff guard the data centers on site.
How are fires prevented?
Aspirating smoke detectors detect even the slightest smouldering of electronic components. A fire control matrix keeps operations secure even in the event of a fire.
Which services run in the data centers?
Cloud, backup, security, AI and TV. We receive TV and radio signals in our own headend.
