Challenge
Seven.One Entertainment Group Schweiz AG is one of the leading providers of moving images in Switzerland. With its streaming service Joyn, it offers an innovative platform that combines live TV and on-demand content - completely free of charge. Joyn required a powerful, reliable and flexible signal transmission solution to ensure that the content can be accessed at any time in the best quality.
Netstream supports us as a service partner for our streaming platform Joyn in Switzerland. As a Netstream customer, we can confirm that Netstream has supported us very well in every respect with their quick response and competent support. Netstream contributed significantly to the fact that we were able to launch Joyn as planned and that Joyn functions smoothly. Procedure
In order to meet Joyn's specific requirements, the collaboration began with a detailed kick-off meeting in which the framework conditions and technical requirements were defined. In close coordination with the Joyn team, we developed a customized signal transmission solution that could be seamlessly integrated into the existing infrastructure.
Throughout the implementation process, we placed particular emphasis on fast and flexible implementation. The Joyn team particularly appreciated our quick response time, which enabled us to make adjustments promptly and keep to the project timeline. The clear communication and solution-oriented way of working was also highlighted as particularly valuable.
According to Joyn, the collaboration with Netstream was characterized by professionalism and a partnership-based approach, which meant that the technical requirements were implemented efficiently and smoothly.
Solution
Netstream ensures the signal transmission of the live TV channels for Joyn. The signals are received from all over the world via the Netstream, transcoded and transmitted to the Joyn infrastructure via HLS push.
The TV channels are transmitted redundantly via two separate supply channels to ensure high availability.

With the streaming platform Joyn, all content can be streamed free of charge.
