Netstream places great importance on responsible corporate governance. Therefore, we care about our employees and areaginvolved in sustainability and social projects.
Environmental and climate protection are very important to us, because future generations should still be able to enjoy our beautiful Earth. But we also take our social responsibility very seriously – especially with regard to our organizational structure.
Ecological responsibility
With these measures, we are trying to do our part toagto climate protection.
Through numerous small and large measures, we aim to support environmental and climate protection and help reduce our footprint. Therefore, we are constantly on the lookout for new ways to optimize our processes and for worthwhile projects to support.
Our entire office building and data centers are powered by 100% solar energy. We have also been awarded the "Zero Carbon Committed" certification by VMware.
Instead of generating cooling with a machine as usual, ourag(since summer 2018) uses ambient cooling. Above a certain outside temperature, we cool using outside air. We received support from the Swiss Climate Foundation during this conversion.
We have already sponsored several bee colonies. Our aim is to support young beekeepers in Switzerland who are committed to organic beekeeping. You can find out more on our blog.
Over the past two years, we have been able to save around 30% of our electricity consumption through optimizations. Further optimizations in this area are ongoing.
Our vision includes a life of fulfillment for people, living in harmony with technology and nature. As a technology company, it makes us happy when we, together with our employees, can do good for the environment. Trees perform a multitude of functions for us. For example, they produce oxygen, sequester carbon, and mitigate climate change. That's why we, together with the Witikon Wood Corporation (Witikon Wood Corporation and Witikon Private Forest Corporation), have planted our own small forest. We visit and maintain it regularly.
We don't replace our hardware just because a newer or supposedly better model is available. With every investment, we carefully examine whether a replacement makes technical and environmental sense. We use existing systems for as long as possible, repurpose them where feasible, or recycle them sustainably.
In this way, we are specifically extending the life cycle of our infrastructure – and reducing unnecessary waste of resources.
The paper we still use is recycled. Our paper is certified with the “Blue Angel” ecolabel. This is how we aim to conserve our resources.
We donate unused device components to the non-profit organization Labdoo. Labdoo works worldwide to provide children and young people with access to IT and education through donated hardware.
Working from home and flexibility have been a top priority for us long before the Corona pandemic.
Since the beginning of 2021, we have been working in our new office in Wallisellen. Located on the 4th floor of Richtireal 4, our offices are shared by 4-7 people. In addition, there are several extra workspaces and meeting rooms that make theag more varied. The centralagright next to the Glattzentrum shopping center offers plenty of dining options, easy access, and even a walking area for a short break.
Our large kitchen is perfect for cooking and snacking. With several ovens and microwaves, it's easy to heat up your own food if needed. We also offer a variety of free soft drinks at our bar, and there are always some snacks available by the coffee machine!
Our four-legged friends are very welcome in the office. They provide a welcome change of pace and contribute to a positive working atmosphere.
An aglearning organization thrives, among other things, on the continuous development of each and every employee. Therefore, we support this development with various training courses, an internal academy, and coaching.
We have been working 40 hours per week for a long time now. In addition, we all benefit from 25agof vacation and can purchase an extra week if needed.
All employees receive free Netstreamproducts as needed, such as TV and internet access for home use.
We support the Bike-to-Work Challenge and thereby promote health within our company. The goal of the challenge is to cycle to work as manyagas possible. This year, we were once again pleased to welcome two teams to the challenge who completed 100% of their commute by bicycle.
