For years , activeIT operated   its own  on- premises infrastructure  to successfully implement solutions for its end customers.  However, with  the steadily increasing demands on storage capacity and performance,  the company faced the questionagwhether the enormous effort required to operate  and expand  its own infrastructure was worthwhile. In particular, the hardware lifecycle managementagthe high costs posed a challenge for activeIT. With the goal of also being able to meet future  customer requirements in terms of security,  flexibility  , and scalability  ,  it quickly became clear that  expanding the infrastructure itself made little sense  from both an economic  and environmental perspective
