Terminal services based on the Virtual Data Center(vDC)
Low-performance workstations with standard office applications can often be easily provided entirely via terminal servers. During user interaction, only the screen output is transmitted between the data center and the user – the data itself remains in the data center. Thanks to the seamless scaling (and subsequent reduction) of the Virtual Data Center Service (VDC) , challenges canagand flexibly, ensuring a fast and easy way to work from home.
VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) based on the Virtual Data Center (vDC)
For performance-intensive applications or workstations, we recommend VMware VDI Services (VMware Horizon). Here, the entire workstation is encapsulated in a virtual machine (VM), which continues to operate in the Virtual Data Center and, if necessary, is supported by GPUs (professional graphics or compute processors) for graphics or computing power. This allows specific use cases such as CAD, image editing, 3D data, development scenarios, etc., to continue without restrictions from a home office. Here, too, any scaling or reduction of the workload can be implemented at any time for maximum flexibility.
