Following the discontinuation of our hosting business, we are now also transferring our voice and connectivity services to competent partners. This completes our focus strategy, allowing us to dedicate ourselves fully to our core business of Cloudand streaming services. Going forward, Netstream will operate solely as an IT infrastructure provider with a focus on the B2B market.
As part of a strategic realignment, Netstream 's board of directors decided in 2018 that we would focus entirely on our Cloudand streaming services business in the future. Accordingly, we sought solutions for the voice, connectivity, and hosting sectors. Our goal was to find partners with extensive experience in these respective business areas who could successfully continue their operations. Ensuring maximum continuity for our existing customers was paramount.
After the hosting business was transferred to Internet Group AG in February 2020, we have now also found a competent partner for voice and connectivity.
The voice business, including the award-winning portal netvoip.ch, is being sold with immediate effect to Nexphone AG , a company specializing in telephony solutions , which will operate the services under the netvoip AG as a subsidiary. The connectivity business is also being spun off with immediate effect into netconnect AG , a newly founded company established by Tom Knienieder and other Swiss tech investors .
