Netstream AG is undergoing a realignment and will focus even more strongly on its core business. Following a portfolio analysis, the board of directors decided that the hosting division was not a good fit for the company's future and sought a new owner. The telecommunications provider secured Internet Group AG as the buyer for the entire division and will begin the migration by the end of the month.
We began our transformation and realignment as early as 2018. Following the introduction of our new brand identity, a portfolio revision was also necessary. At the end of last year, the management of Netstream AG ultimately decided that the hosting division did not fit the company's future core business and therefore a new owner should be sought. The sales process was subsequently initiated.
Alexis Caceda, CEO of Netstream AG explains the reason for this decision as follows:
Last year we presented our vision and mission. This allows us to think much further ahead and not just focus on our existing business areas. Even in a highly competitive market environment, we enjoyed many years and successfully delighted our customers. Nevertheless, the hosting division had recently ceased to be a strategic business area, which ultimatelyagsignificantly to this decision.
– Alexis Caceda, CEO, Netstream AG
The Board of Directors' goal is to focus all available resources on the strategic direction and to sell the hosting division to a suitable provider in order to provide a new home for long-standing and loyal customers.
It was particularly important to us to find a strong new owner who possesses the foundation and know-how for the successful further development of the division. Internet Group AG has been scoring points with innovative IT solutions since 2007 and serves several thousand private customers as well as over 1,200 business customers. With its expertise, Internet Group AG will be in aagto continue operating the hosting division in the best possible way.
